The Pacific Northwest Intergovernmental Audit Forum (PNIAF) Spring 2020 Meeting will be held at the Hotel RL Olympia, 2300 Evergreen Park Drive SW,
Olympia, WA 98502 from Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 12:00 pm to Friday, March 13, 2020 at 12:00pm.

Registration Fee: $275

Registration Information

Registration for the meeting is  for all three days (two half days and one full day).  The registration fee includes a networking reception on March 11, continental breakfast and lunch on March 12 and breakfast on March 13. 16 CPEs are planned for this event. The registration is first come-first served with a registration deadline of February 28, 2020.

Payment and Cancellation Policies

PNIAF accepts major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express) as the preferred method of payment. Checks will also be accepted. All attendees are required to pay for the forum prior to the event. NO EXCEPTIONS.

PNIAF is utilizing a new registration system. We are unable to change the payment method from what is selected by the attendee during the registration process. Only select Check/P.O. if you intend to pay by check or purchase order using the instructions in the registration system. Check/P.O. should not be used as a way to “hold” a space only to pay by credit card at a later time.

Cancellations are permitted until 5:00 p.m. ET on February 28, 2020. Attendees may cancel their own registration using the information in their email confirmation. Cancellation after February 28 will result in forfeiture of the registration fee. Attendee substitutions may be made until 5:00 p.m. EDT by Friday, March 6, 2020.

To the extent possible, the PNIAF will make speaker presentations and other meeting materials available electronically prior to the meeting.  We will not provide hard copies at the meeting.  If you prefer to have hard copies, please print materials for your use at the meeting.  Thank you for helping us conserve resources.

We have negotiated a group rate of $130 plus tax, per night, for Tuesday, March 10 through Thursday, March 12 for PNIAF meeting participants. The hotel will also honor the group rate 3 days before and after the event based on availability. Attendees should book their hotel reservations directly with Hotel RL. Attendees have two options for booking a reservation:

  1. Utilize the online reservation link to book directly at Hotel RL’s website.
  2. Call Hotel RL at 360-943-4000 and inform the booking agent you are with the “PNIAF Spring 2020” group to receive the group rate.

To receive the group rate, please book your room reservation(s) no later than Monday, March 2, 2020. 

Check-in time is 3:00 pm; check-out is 12:00 pm.

Early Departure Fee:  An early departure fee equal to one night’s rate will be added should you check out prior to your scheduled departure date.  Be sure to confirm your departure date at check-in to avoid an early departure fee.

Complimentary parking is available at the Red Lion Hotel Olympia.  There is also plenty of street parking in close proximity to the hotel.

Ground Transportation

The closest airport to the event is Sea-Tac Airport (SEA), roughly 50 miles north. More information on the airport may be found on their website:

Continuing Professional Education Policy

The PNIAF plans to offer (16) Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits for this meeting. There are no prerequisites and no advanced preparation is required. The meeting was designed with the intention of adhering to the 2018 revision of the Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS) (GAO 18-568G). Ultimate responsibility for determining whether CPEs qualify for credit rests with the individual or employing organization.

A downloadable CPE form is available after completion of the electronic evaluation for the event. The link to the survey will be emailed to all participants at the end of the forum.
