The David M. Walker Excellence in Government Performance and Accountability Awards, sponsored by the NIAF, recognizes and honors government audit professionals who have made sustained contributions to improve government performance and accountability through their leadership in transforming government operations.
Nominations are made in the months leading up to the Biennial Forum of Government Auditors. Final selection is made by the Selection Committee designated by the NIAF’s Executive Committee.
